Course Title: MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA)

Course Overview:

Duration: 12 weeks

This course is designed to provide an introduction to MikroTik routers and their configurations. It covers the basics of setting up a MikroTik router, including routerOS installation, basic configurations, routing protocols, wireless networking, and firewall configurations. Students will also learn about network services such as DHCP, DNS, and NTP. Additionally, they will learn about network monitoring and management using tools such as Netwatch and SNMP.

Week 1: Introduction to MikroTik

- Introduction to MikroTik RouterOS
- RouterOS installation and licensing
- RouterOS command-line interface (CLI) and webfig

Week 2: Basic Configurations

- Basic configuration of MikroTik router
- Configuring IP addresses and default gateway
- Configuring DHCP server and client
- Configuring DNS server and client

Week 3: Routing Protocols

- Introduction to routing protocols
- Configuring static routing
- Configuring OSPF routing protocol
- Configuring BGP routing protocol

Week 4: Wireless Networking

- Introduction to wireless networking
- Configuring wireless access point
- Configuring wireless security
- Configuring wireless client

Week 5: Firewall Configurations

- Introduction to firewall
- Configuring packet filtering
- Configuring NAT
- Configuring port forwarding

Week 6: Network Services

- Configuring DHCP server and client

Week 7: Network Monitoring and Management

Week 9: VPN and Tunneling

Week 10: Quality of Service (QoS)

- Configuring simple queue
- Configuring queue tree

Week 11: Network Security

- Introduction to network security
- Configuring firewall
- Configuring connection tracking
- Configuring intrusion detection and prevention system (IDPS)

Week 12: Final Project

- Applying the concepts and skills learned in the course to design and configure a network using MikroTik router
- Presentation and feedback

Course Requirements:

- Basic computer skills
- Familiarity with networking concepts is a plus

Assessment and Certification:

Students will be assessed through assignments, quizzes, and a final project
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate of completion. Additionally, students who pass the MTCNA certification exam will receive the MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA) certification.
